The following are the frequently asked questions about the Phoenix product range:
Q. Does Apollo FTA supports teletext?
A. Yes it supports teletext through VBI & OSD
Q. Does Apollo FTA supports Dolby sound?
A. Yes it supports Dolby Digital Bitstream S/PDIF.
Q. When I switch the receiver on there is no power or clock display?
A.
a) Check the power on/off switch at the back left hand side of the receiver, OR
b) Check if the plug is inserted tightly into the mains outlet, OR
c) The fuse in the plug may be at fault, replace with correct rating (Caution).
Q. The receiver comes on but I cannot get any on screen Menu?
A.
a) Check if the scart lead is connected or the RF lead is connected, OR
b) Check the appropriate A/V settings on your television,LCD or Plasma display etc, OR
c) Scart lead or RF lead could be faulty therefore replace if in doubt.
Q. How do I tune the RF output of the receiver to my television, LCD or Plasma?
A. Your receiver’s RF output has been preset to PAL I and channel frequency 56, Apply the tuning setup application of your television, LCD or Plasma display to receive channel frequency 56 of your receiver. Please refer to your display’s instruction manual.
Q. The receiver comes on but I cannot apply any function from the remote control?
A.
a) Direct the remote control towards your receiver, OR
b) Check if the batteries are inserted correctly (Check Polarity), OR
c) The batteries may running on low power therefore replace.
Q. I get the message ‘no signal’ displayed?
A. a)Check if the LNB cable is inserted into the IF INPUT, OR
b)Check if the cable connector is securely connected to the cable, OR
c)Check if the LNB setup menu application is correctly applied. Please refer to
your instruction manual, OR
d)Your satellite Dish may be out of alignment or your LNB may be at fault. Please contact your dealer / installer for further assistance.
Q. I cannot access a particular channel I require?
A. You need to check the following :-
a)You may not have the associated transponder listed within the receiver’s database.
b)This may be due to transmission changes relating to transponder information associated with the channel you are looking for within the channel package. This could be a change in frequency, polarity, symbol rate or PID value. Please refer to Glossary section of your instruction manual for explanation. You would need to check the current transponder transmitting information in relation to the channel you are looking for and thereby to edit or add the associated details to your receiver’s database in order to receive the channel.

Q. How can I find out what current software version I have?
A. a) Press Menu key – Installation page will be displayed,
b) Press Right cursor key twice – System Setting page will be displayed,
c) Select System Information and Press OK – System Information page will be displayed,
d) Read as Last Update, e.g. 18/12/2005.
Q. The sound is too low while viewing satellite channels?
A. Increase volume setting using your remote control and adjust accordingly.
Q. Does the Apollo range support DVB subtitles?
A. Yes, by pressing the green key of your remote control you will have the option to select between the current format of EBU and DVB.
Q. Does the Apollo range have Auto Satellite Navigation?
A. Yes, we have developed an exclusive feature of this function whereby from a factory mode setting you can instantly access the Auto Search menu, enter your Longitude & Latitude co-ordinates (see USALS on website), select your required satellites and that’s it. The receiver will automatically locate and download your selected satellites. Please refer to page 26-27 of your instruction manual for procedure.
Q. I have lost my personal Lock Code setting, what do I do?
A. For security reason, please contact your dealer.
